Chey, Lately

the albums that never get old

 hi friends!

i was trying to think of some of my favorite albums of all time, and shockingly, this was both very easy and nearly impossible.

easy because there are a handful of albums that immediately come to mind. albums i've listened to hundreds of times, know front to back, and somehow still want to put on again.

impossible because five spots is simply disrespectful to me and my extensive listening history.

but if we're talking about the albums i've genuinely loved the most and played the absolute shit out of over the years, these are some of them:

recent thrift finds & outfits i can't wait to wear!!

hi friends,

i've been having some good thrift luck lately. that said, i've been trying to get a little more intentional about the clothes i bring home. instead of buying something just because it's cute and cheap, i've been asking myself if i can actually picture it as part of an outfit. which has resulted in me making little digital outfits out of everything i thrift. (the children yearn for polyvore!!!)

so here are a few recent finds + the outfits currently living in my head while i wait for texas to become remotely dressable again. ♡

my latest craft obsession: prize ribbons for everything

 hi friends,

as you may or may not know, i have recently entered another craft phase.

this time? prize ribbons.

i started making these little superlative ribbons out of felt, ribbon, letter beads, rhinestones and whatever other tiny sparkly thing i can find in the depths of my craft supplies.

and i fear i am obsessed with them.

there is something so funny to me about taking a completely unserious accomplishment and giving it the full award ceremony treatment. like yes, you made it through a mildly inconvenient day. here is your ribbon. you were brave.

and then i bought a button maker...

which was probably a mistake.

please rewind

 hi friends,

so i started picking up physical movies again. all from my local beloved thrift stores. and now i have over 60 of them. so naturally, i made a spreadsheet.

welcome to my personal blockbuster!!

things i’m manifesting at the thrift store

hi friends!

i have a confession to make: i think about thrifting an unreasonable amount.

there are very few feelings better than walking into a thrift store with absolutely no idea what you're going to find. is today the day i find the vintage lotus lamp of my dreams? perhaps a knick knack that immediately becomes one of my most prized possessions? or maybe the $200 thing i've had on a wishlist sitting on a shelf for $6.99???

probably not.

but MAYBE. and that's what keeps me coming back!!! so let's chat about some of my thrift wishlist items.
